This resource helps companies in the following stages

The Alternative Board

The Alternative Board (TABFW) is a business advisory group where business owners help each other address and resolve board level issues. It is designed for startups and small companies that do not yet have a formalized board of directors.

About

“It is not enough to do your best and work hard, you must know WHAT to do, and THEN do your BEST.” W. Edwards Deming

TABFW (The Alternative Board Fort Worth) is part of a 20-country business advisory group with 3,000 business owner members who help each other resolve board level issues.

Several times a year, TABFW hosts free BOSS (Business Owner Success Series) luncheons. Business owners are invited to email us to receive an invitation to hear speakers on key business topics. These are free for business owners to attend. Email valerie@tabfortworth.com for an invitation.
In 2011 TABFW partnered with the Business Assistance Center and the City of Fort Worth Economic Development Department (along with numerous contributing businesses) to launch the FW Business Plan Competition. As a founding sponsor, TABFW provides a $7,200 scholarship to the 1st place winner. This business owner sits on a peer advisory board with 7 other business owners and their professional facilitator to work on their business month in and month out to achieve the growth and life balance they seek. The on-going, regular nature of our approach focuses executive “sweat, determination and hard work” correctly so that business growth and vision are achieved.
